Sanchez and Mustafi Give Wenger Derby Delight

Stay here for live results and analysis for all Football matches. Complete scores and schedule. Two first half goals in the space of  five minutes from Alexis Sanchez and Shkodran Mustafi gave Arsenal their first home win over their North London rivals, Tottenham, since 2014. Mauricio Pochettino would have hoped that his big guns could have re-created a similar performance to the one they managed in their 3-1 win over Real Madrid but that was not the case. Harry Kane and Dele Alli were restricted to very few sightings of Petr Cech’s goal as Arsenal’s 3-4-3 formation nullified the Spurs’ front line so much so, that Kane and Alli were both replaced in the 75th minute. Arsene Wenger went with his strongest possible eleven with Ozil, Sanchez and Lacazette forming a seriously formidable front t...

Switzerland Through after N.I Heartbreak

It’s always disappointing when the referee is the main talking point from any game and unfortunately this was the case last Thursday. Northern Ireland will feel heavily aggrieved after German ref, Felix Brych, awarded Switzerland a highly controversial penalty in the first leg of their World Cup playoff at Winsor Park. In the 57th minute of the second half, Brych pointed to the spot after he adjudged Corey Evans to have handled the ball in the area. Replays later showed that the ball clearly struck his shoulder which incensed Michael O’Neill and his players. After the goal, the Northerners threw everything they had at the Swiss but couldn’t find a way through and disappointingly didn’t even have a shot on target. After the game, all the analysis centred on the big decision in the second ha...

El tormenta Strikes for Conte’s Men

Stay here for live results and analysis for all Football matches. Complete scores and schedule. El tormenta Strikes for Conte’s Men A brilliant second half header from Alvaro Morata was enough for Chelsea to claim all three points against Manchester United on Sunday. The unmarked Morata rose highest to head home César Azpilicueta’s brilliant cross which condemned Jose Mourinho to his third loss in three visits to Stamford Bridge since taking charge of the Red Devils. A lot of talk before the game was focusing on the relationship between Conte and Mourinho after a war of words erupted throughout the week surrounding the sale of Nemanja Matic and Conte’s behaviour in this fixture last season. Mourinho slated Conte for his behaviour with the crowd as he watched his side slump to a 4-0 hammeri...

Stay here for live results and analysis for all Football matches. Complete scores and schedule. After only ten games of the 2017/18 La Liga season, reigning champions, Real Madrid find themselves eight points behind their arch rivals, Barcelona. After a very questionable home record that has already seen them draw twice with Levante and Valencia and a shocking loss (1-0) to Real Betis, their latest setback has caused quite a stir at the Santiago Bernabéu. Leading 1-0 away to Girona at half time, two second half goals in the space of four minutes condemned Zinedine Zidane’s side to their second league defeat of the season, and we haven’t even reached November! What exactly is wrong with Los Blancos? It’s not like they are playing with a depleted side. Yes, there are a few injuries such as G...

Koeman Gets the Axe!

Stay here for live results and analysis for all Football matches. Complete scores and schedule. After a 7th place finish at the end of the 2016/17 Premier League season, Ronald Koeman has been sacked as manager of Everton Football Club. Currently sitting 18th in the EPL, Koeman has only guided Everton to one league win all season. After Romelu Lukaku departed for Manchester United in a deal worth up to £90M, a great deal was spent on recruiting big name players. A total of £140M was spent on the likes of Jordon Pickford, Gylfi Sigurðsson, Sandro Ramirez, Wayne Rooney, Davy Klaassen and Michael Keane. There was a lot of optimism around Goodison Park during pre-season but that good-will is certainly gone. A crushing 5-2 home defeat by Arsenal last Sunday was the final straw. Having taken the...

He has every team fearing their quick attacking threat as well as their steal and determination that lacked last year. Fernandinho provides the only real defensive cover from midfield but yet City have shipped very few goals this year, mainly due to their efficiency with the ball and ruthlessness defending. They gave Stoke City a 7-2 drubbing at the Etihad Stadium at the weekend that has just re-enforced their favourites tag for the title this year. Sterling, Jesus (X2), Silva...

Social media went into melt down about a rift between Brazil’s Neymar, and Uruguay’s Edison Cavani after a dispute over a free kick in Paris Saint-Germain’s latest win. Neymar and Cavani appeared to strongly disagree over a second-half free kick that was awarded in PSG’s 2-0 win over Lyon on Sunday. Things were not helped when Neymar’s former Brazil and Barcelona teammate Dani Alves Neymar his backing, then insisted on him taking a penalty later in the game, only to see it saved. However, a similar situation had already arisen back in 2010 with Neymar when playing at Santos. The winger had won a penalty against Atletico Goianiense and demanded to take the spot-kick, but coach Dorival Junior ...

Manchester United manager not happy with “Playstation football”

Stay here for live results and analysis for all football tournaments. Complete scores and schedule. Jose Mourinho, manager of Manchester United, accused his players of putting their Champions League victory over Basel in jeopardy by playing what he described as “Playstation football”. United were able to mark their return to Champions League competition with a comfortable 3-0 win at Old Trafford over the Swiss title holders, but Mourinho was left unhappy and unimpressed with how his side played for much of the second half. Goals from Marouane Fellaini, Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford were enough to give United the win. “We stopped playing seriously and stopped making right decisions” However, Mourinho was critical, saying, “Until 2-0 we were stable, we played with confi...
